These are shortened from messages sent after class. Names are given as each person asked. The work was support and resistance planning on their own charts, in the room at Phra Samut Chedi.
I brought a gold chart with a resistance on a round number because it looked tidy. Kanya made me find the last two closes instead. The tidy line came off. I was annoyed on evening one and glad by evening five, when my page finally had a cancel sentence I could read without squinting.
Wichai announced USD against the baht that Monday. I argued for a wick I liked. He asked where the close was. I did not have one. The kept list left my wick off, and he was right to do it.
Three months of a rubber chart, lines everywhere. We spent the first forty minutes only on which swings had space. I left with four levels. The sitting felt short for the mess I carried in, and still I have not put the extra lines back.
The room is small and the first Thursday I attended moved slowly, because we stayed on one prior high for most of my turn. I had wanted to show all three levels. By the second month I stopped rushing the margin notes, and the single level we did discuss was the one I had marked worst.
A longer sitting: the rubber chart from Bang Bo
Somsak arrived on a Thursday in May with a roll of daily pages for a rubber contract he watches for a family yard in Bang Bo. Three months were marked. Some lines were prior week highs. Some were prices the yard uses in conversation. A few were wicks he had circled because they looked dramatic on a small screen.
Wichai asked him to pick the swings that had at least two candles of space on each side. That question removed most of the roll before any talk of the coming week. The sitting then stayed with four prices: a support built from two closes in April, a lower price Somsak was unsure about, the prior week’s high, and a cancel close beneath the April bodies.
Somsak later wrote that ninety minutes felt short for the stack he carried in. He also wrote that he had not restored the deleted lines. The academy kept his comment as he sent it, including the complaint about the clock. Private sittings are not extended in the hallway once the next person is due.
